Getting your player ready...

Who: Keith Waters and Judith Coe of Denver, Colorado

Where: The Charles Bridge Prague on the River Vltava in front of the Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, Czech Republic

Out and about: Working with music conservatory students and giving jazz concerts in Eastern Europe, we first traveled to Prague, Ostrava and Brno. Prague is a beautiful, romantic city best visited in late winter or early spring, when the crush of the summer tourist season yet to come. The people of the Czech Republic are warm, gracious, and passionate. The cultural life is rich and historic sites are dazzling and incredible to experience, but getting out into the Czech countryside and beyond traditional tourist areas to meet real Czech people, eat real Czech food and listen to real Czech music is a rare pleasure.

Travel Tip: Pre-booked shuttle reservations often go awry; instead, try the dependable white mini-bus shuttles that can be hailed on command outside of the Praha Ruzune Airport for approximately $25 per van (so stuff as many people in as possible!).
