Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout

Not one, not two, but three beers rated among the world’s 100 best.

Great Divide Brewing, founded in 1994 in downtown Denver, recently was recognized by RateBeer.com for its Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout (35th), Hercules Double IPA (36th) and Yeti Imperial Stout (59th). Great Divide also was chosen Colorado’s top brewer, and its beers took five of the top 10 spots among the state’s best beers.

Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout is a good example of the brewery’s recent turn toward bigger, bolder beers. The almost-black beer is aged on French and toasted oak chips that give it coffee and vanilla tones. And if you love hops, you’ll love the oak-aged Yeti.

Great Divide Brewing Co., 2201 Arapahoe St., Denver, CO 80205; 303-296-9460.
