Out and about: Acapulco is a bustling city with many American stores and restaurants. The Mexican restaurants are very good. The bay has several public beaches and many private beaches. The waves can be a bit rough this time of year. The famous cliff divers are a fun attraction. So is the local water park called Ci Ci. About 30 minutes north on the coast is a town called Pie De La Cuesta, it is a very quaint area right on the beach. There are great restaurants for a late lunch, and watching the sunset there is just magical.
Travel tip: The weather is reliable, low 90’s with overnights lows in the low to mid 70’s. Plan to spend $25-$30 dollars getting from the airport to the Acapulco bay area. Once at the bay, walking will get you most places.
