Out and about: After a wonderful weekend in San Francisco spent on a catamaran cruise of the bay and a tour of Alcatraz we spent a day touring winerys in Sonoma and Napa. We took a back roads path to the coast at Bodega Bay which was both beautiful and scary. We alternated the coast highway and the giant Sequoias inland spending time at Black Sands beach and Fern Canyon. We also cut across at Eureka and did some cave exploring in Shasta. Every small town we stopped at had something wonderful to offer, from small delis with local fare to antique and specialty shops.
