Sipping a martini and lounging with friends is a cool way to spend a summer evening, as 350 members of CultureHaus discovered at the fashionable new bar and restaurant 5 degrees. (The establishment gets its name from the the ideal temperature for vodka to be chilled.) A social and educational support group for the Denver Art Museum, CultureHaus meets monthly for members to view exhibits, and learn about art and collecting. At the group’s annual membership meeting, guests wearing sexy tops and cool summer colors took in the sleek modern décor at 5 degrees, sampled vodka courtesy of Grey Goose and lobster quesadillas by chef Eric Roeder. The down-tempo lounge music played by DJ Kevin Alves kept things lively, but it was the sound of water splashing in a fountain in the outdoor courtyard that some found most refreshing. – Suzanne S.
