Out and about: One of the tours off the Ryndam Panama Canal Cruise took us to this breathtakingly beautiful resort in the northwestern part of South America – an exotic region where everlasting snow rises less than 32 miles away from the coast of the the Caribbean. This very exclusive resort has all of the characteristic comfort and facilities of a 5 star hotel. It is located right on the beach and there is a lovely swimming pool on the grounds also.
Travel tip: Our tour guide advised us that this was only the second ship to stop at Santa Marta. Though it was quite warm that day, we were advised to bring light jackets because the weather can turn cool quite quickly.
