Out and about: A beautiful destination with numerous hiking trails. The scenery is spectacular. The mountain vistas are grand. Wildlife abounds: guanacos, rheas, caracaras, condors and more.
Travel tip: Be prepared for changeable weather; layers are good. Most businesses take American dollars. If you are driving (not on tour), be aware that some accommodations require leaving your vehicle outside the park. You must then either walk with your baggage to the hotel or catch a shuttle. Most of the roads in the park are dirt/gravel.
