Steve Winwood has carved out a career that spans all but about 10 years of the history of rock ‘n’ roll. Winwood’s many talents and taste for innovation bore fruit as a solo act and in seminal bands such as Traffic, Blind Faith and The Spencer Davis Group. An Evening With Steve Winwood takes place Sept. 30 at the Paramount Theatre. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($39.50-$59.50, Ticketmaster).

Henry Rollins is a one-time punk rocker, a high-profile scene-ster and a successful spoken-word performer. Rollins has used his intense stage presence and hard-edged, albeit sometimes overbearing, take on society to carve out a niche as a touring “poet.” He visits Macky Auditorium at the University of Colorado at Boulder on Nov. 5. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today ($27, Ticketmaster).

Pat Green in the mid-1990s took the Lone Star State by storm, selling more than 200,000 records in six years on an indie label. But it took until 2001 for Nashville to welcome him and his middle-of-the-road country sound. He hasn’t disappointed. Green plays the Fillmore Auditorium on Sept. 24. Tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($22.50-$25, Ticketmaster).

Ciara this week received five nominations, the most for anyone, for the 10th-annual Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards. The R&B star received nods for best new artist, music video, dance cut, R&B/soul album (solo) for “Goodies” and song of the year for the title track. She comes to the Fillmore Auditorium on Aug. 31. Influential underground rapper Common (formerly Common Sense) co-headlines the show. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($29.75, Ticketmaster).
