“Funground” volunteers needed
As many as 1,000 volunteers will be working this weekend on the “Frisco Funground,” a child-envisioned replacement for a decaying playground set. The effort, which began Tuesday and runs through Sunday, will build a castle with a drawbridge, a slide out of a dragon’s mouth and a “shark tank.”
Organized by the local Parent, Teacher and Student Organization, the project needs volunteers to work four-hour shifts. Free meals are provided, and no experience is necessary. For more information, call 970-389-3932.
