As many as 23 vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction accident on I-25 north of Denver this afternoon.
North Metro Fire Rescue reports the collision blocked all but one lane of northbound I-25 between the E-470 on-ramp and the Highway 7 off-ramp. Most of the lanes re-opened around 5 p.m.
Three people were taken to the hospital but none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening, according to a statement released by North Metro’s spokesperson, Wendy Krajewski.
The accident happened around 3:30 p.m.
