Baylor golfers win Ram Fall Classic
The Baylor women’s golf team shot a 5-under-par 859 to win the 2005 Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic on Tuesday in Fort Collins. Colorado State shot an 893, finishing in fifth place.
Baylor’s Sian Reddick and Josefin Svenningsson tied for individual honors with a 6-under 210. Colorado State freshman Krystina Gillenwater tied for 14th at 220.
The Rams will compete in the Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque on Sept. 26-28.
Gauthier, Carle selected DU captains
Senior forward Gabe Gauthier and junior defenseman Matt Carle have been chosen co-captains for the University of Denver hockey team’s 2005-06 season.
Senior Ted O’Leary from Arvada will serve as alternate captain.
Hall named Wyoming women’s tennis coach
The University of Wyoming named Kristen Hall the new women’s tennis coach, replacing Pam Wildt, who resigned in August. Hall was an assistant at Washington State last season, and at her alma mater, Virginia Tech, the prior season.
