After three days to mope over its 56-24 loss at Minnesota, Colorado State returns to practice for four days of bye-week tuneups.
CSU coach Sonny Lubick said the team will not alter the standard bye-week formula of abbreviated practices.
“If we can improve, we need to clean up and fix a couple of things,” Lubick said.
Instead of the usual game-week 2 1/2-hour practices, Lubick said the Rams will go only an hour and 20 minutes each day. The Rams don’t play again until the Sept. 24 home opener with Nevada.
Offensive guard Brandon Alconcel will miss at least the next two games with an elbow injury suffered in the Minnesota game.
Hall of Fame
Brady Smith, a 10th-year defensive end with the Atlanta Falcons, heads the 2005 CSU Hall of Fame class. He set the school record of 27 sacks during his career from 1991-95.
Other inductees include seven-time NCAA track and field championships qualifier Mattias Borrman, five-time All-America swimmer Kristin Elliot Fox, wrestling/football standout Lavern Kohls and All-America softball player Sarah Fredstrom Secrest.
The Hall of Fame banquet is Nov. 11, and the inductees will be honored at the football home finale against San Diego State the following day.
