Pink Flamingo

Samburu Grille

at the Denver Zoo

On East 23rd Avenue between

York Street and Colorado Boulevard

TALES FROM THE ROAD

Will Seccombe is spreading the wealth of travel know-how he amassed pitching Colorado tourism for an ad agency. Reader-contributed stories can be searched for by destination or them. The Denver-based operation fills in the holes with travel tips, news and deals. It’s a good read. And where else are you going to find a story datelined Telluride that starts like this: “I was sipping a Fat Tire draft beer when a horse walked into the saloon.”?

SIMPLY DELICIOUS

Via Italian Eatery

& Bar

1801 Wynkoop St., Denver

Lunch is back in LoDo. Chef Andrea Frizzi puts together plates of “complicated simplicity.” A salad of fine Roma tomatoes with bufala mozzarella flown in from Gioia del Colle, near Naples. Piccante pizza perfectly crisped in an 800-degree wood-fired oven. Bellissimo!
