As the Rockies consider whether to offer Aaron Cook (5-1, 3.36 ERA) a two-year contract, durability is the lingering question: Can the right-hander perform well for an entire season? “I believe I can,” Cook said. To that end, Cook plans on dropping around 12 pounds this offseason, since he is able to work out without restrictions. Cook is 5-0 in his past nine games with a 2.51 ERA, matching the longest winning streak ever by a Rockies starter. Adam Eaton (10-4, 4.10) beat the Rockies on Sept. 7, his only win since the all-star break. Todd Helton feasts on the right-hander, going 17-for-50 with three home runs.
