1. Rick Upchurch (1975-83)
Upchurch’s combined return yardage (5,363) and touchdowns (eight) are Denver records by wide margins.
2. Glyn Milburn (1993-95)
Milburn’s combined return yardage (12,772) in his NFL career ranks third, behind Brian Mitchell and Mel Gray, in league history.
3. Darrien Gordon (1997-98)
Gordon’s two seasons as a punt returner produced the best career average (12.46) in Denver history.
4. Billy Thompson (1969-81)
Thompson’s career average returns rank fifth in Denver history on punts (11.55 yards) and third on kickoffs (25.13).
5. Darrent Williams (2005)
Rookie’s potential is enough to make people forget Vaughn Hebron.
