Seventeen fine artists have thrown open their doors for Durango’s second annual open- studio tour. NEXT WEEKEND
A concert to harp on
Harp Fantasia by the Mile High Chapter
of the American Harp Society
Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway lakewood.org
We went to the Oktoberfest Sea of Accordions concert, and we plan to be there when hundreds of tubas converge on Larimer Square in December, but we had no idea that musicians tied to so elegant an instrument as the harp would think to gather for a mass concert. But there it is. Fifty student, amateur, professional, lever and pedal harpists conducted by Robert Kennedy, performing classical and popular music. $10 for adults, $5 for kids, students and seniors. Some proceeds will benefit Hurricane Katrina victims.
