GOLD MINING
Central City Parkway
Take the Hidden Valley exit 243 off of I-70
All that noise from the slot machines drowned out the idea that the 8.4-mile run up the Central City Parkway might be the best fall drive going. The four-lane highway is heading into its first anniversary just as the color show starts, and reports from the road suggest we should have paid closer attention. Pull-outs and a wide shoulder give leaf peepers the luxury of stopping to take in the view without risking life and limb.
