Amid slumping crowds, Rockies
close out season
The last-place Colorado Rockies close out their 2005 home schedule Sunday against San Francisco with “Fan Appreciation Day.” Their home attendance for the season ranks 14th in the National League and 26th in Major League Baseball, and for the first time in franchise history, the Rockies will fail to draw 2 million fans.
