T-REX contractors plan to install a pedestrian bridge over Interstate 25 just south of County Line Road on Sunday and Monday nights and the work will require major shutdowns of the highway between County Line and C-470 each night.
To set the span over I-25’s northbound lanes Sunday , workers will shut all northbound lanes and at least two lanes of southbound I-25 at 9 p.m., officials said. The full highway is due to open at 5:30 a.m. Monday.
On Monday, also at 9 p.m., T-REX officials plan a full closure of I-25 between County Line and C-470 to set the span over southbound lanes. The closure again will be from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The bridge will link the light-rail station on the west side of I-25 with a parking lot on the east side of the highway.
