In a move to bolster their depleted cornerback position, the Broncos are expected to promote Curome Cox from the practice squad today and release running back Quentin Griffin.

Griffin likely will be back on the active roster soon, possibly Monday.

Cox is being promoted because Denver is dealing with injuries to starters Champ Bailey (hamstring) and Darrent Williams (ankle). Both are listed as questionable, and their availability will be determined before today’s 11 a.m. game at Jacksonville.
