Developers Dan McCoy and Allen Anderson plan a 73-unit condominium project at University Boulevard and Warren Avenue, across from the University of Denver.

The university, which is not financially involved in the project, is helping the developers market the condos by mailing brochures to faculty, staff and alumni, said Craig Woody, a vice chancellor at DU.

“We wanted to inform our community,” Woody said. “Living there would reduce commute times and eliminate traffic and congestion. We’re not involved other than to pass this information on to our community.”

DU employees who register by Oct. 15 on the project’s website, www.2200university.com, will receive preferential condos and pricing.

McCoy declined to comment.

Condos in the five-story development, on the site of the United Methodist Church headquarters building at the southeast corner of University and Warren, range from $272,250 to $615,250.

The church is moving to 6110 S. Greenwood Plaza Blvd. early next year, said Ron Hodges, director of mission and ministry.
