Cherry Hills Village – Brenden Henderson rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown Saturday as host Kent Denver rolled Middle Park 43-6 in the Class 2A Metropolitan League to give coach Scott Yates his 200th career victory.
At Justin DeSorrento Memorial Field, the Sun Devils, ranked No. 6 in The Denver Post/ 9News 2A poll, put their longtime coach in elite Colorado company – fewer than 15 have done it – with three interception returns for touchdowns, including one by Henderson.
Four players scored touchdowns for Kent Denver (4-1, 3-1 league), led by Henderson’s two and two by T.J. Satterly.
Middle Park is 3-2 overall and league.
