Redskins coach Joe Gibbs said he’s delighted to have Dale Earnhardt Jr. as a supporter but said he’d never be able to afford the driver on the Joe Gibbs Racing team. “He makes about $50 million a year, so if I could pop (for) that, he might have a chance,” Gibbs said. “You know you’re in the wrong sport when both your drivers have Lear jets and you don’t.”
