GAME OF THE DAY

Tide rocks, rolls

Alabama entered Saturday ranked 15th and without a big-time win since the 1999 SEC championship game. That all ended with a 31-3 thrashing of No. 5 Florida in a battle of unbeatens at Tuscaloosa, Ala. Crimson Tide quarterback Brodie Croyle passed for three touchdowns, hitting 15-of-18 passes for 286 yards. And Alabama’s defense shut down coach Urban Meyer’s team. It was the first time as a head coach his team was held without a touchdown.
