Hoeper, DU make it two straight wins

The University of Denver’s Emily Hoeper won her second straight tournament, shooting a final-round 4-under-par 68, leading the Pioneers women’s golf team to a 13-stroke victory at the Heather Farr Memorial tournament hosted by Colorado at Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield.

Hoeper finished at 1-under 215, her fourth career win.

Metro State romps 11-0 in men’s soccer

The Metro State men’s soccer team outshot Colorado Christian 36-1 on its way to an 11-0 win at Auraria Field. Antonio Porras scored six goals for Metro.

Mammoth re-signs three core players

The Colorado Mammoth re-signed three of its core players: two-time National Lacrosse League all-star Jamie Hanford and Dave Stilley to two-year contracts, and Nick Carlson to a one-year deal.

CHL Eagles sign former Pioneer Adams

The Colorado Eagles signed former DU defenseman Erik Adams. The defending Central Hockey League champions hope Adams can add some offensive pop to their blue-line corps.

Adams comes to Colorado after two seasons with the New Mexico Scorpions, where he tallied 54 points in two seasons, including leading all defensemen on the Scorpions with 37 points in 2003-04.
