9 p.m. “Close to Home”

This is the first legal drama set in the suburbs. You know you’re dealing with serious judicial matters when the courthouse is in a strip mall between a TGI Fridays and Linens and Things. CBS

10:30 p.m. “Welcome to the Dollhouse”

Seventh grade is hard to watch even when it happens to other people. (1995) Sundance Channel

10:35 p.m. “The Tonight Show”

Sinead O’Connor is back and delighted that there are even more uptight demographics to offend now than there were in the ’90s. NBC
