See “Gateway to the Rockies” exhibit at Aurora museum

Cancer survivor to discuss, sign her book “Staying Alive”

7 P.M. | In recognition of Breast Cancer Month, Dr. Janet Reibstein will discuss and sign copies of her book, “Staying Alive: A Family Memoir,” at the Mizel Center for Arts and Culture, 350 S. Dahlia St. Reibstein’s book details how her family has a genetic propensity for breast cancer and the lives it has claimed, including those of her mother, two aunts and a cousin. The program is free. Get a little “Vertigo” at museum’s Hitchcock film series

7 P.M. | The Denver Art Museum continues its Fall 2005 Film Series, “Alfred Hitchcock: Dial S for Suspense,” at the Starz FilmCenter at the Tivoli, 900 Auraria Parkway. Tonight’s feature is the 1958 film “Vertigo,” starring James Stewart and Kim Novak. Tickets are $7-$8. The series continues Tuesdays through Oct. 25. Call 303-820-3456.
