Movie showing and discussion|A free showing of “Luther,” a historical drama about the life of 16th-century Protestant reformer Martin Luther, will be at 7 p.m. at Lakewood United Church of Christ, 100 Carr St., Lakewood. A discussion will follow the showing.

Dream talk and workshop|Author and minister Jeremy Taylor will discuss “The Importance of Working with Dreams” at 7 p.m. at First Divine Science Church, 1400 Williams St., in Denver. Taylor also will lead an all-day workshop on the interpretation of dreams and how dreams are a source of spiritual awakening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Ex-missionary, artist to speak|Joyce Athey – a poet, watercolor and fabric artist, and former missionary in Ethiopia – will discuss her experiences at 10 a.m. at Holy Love Lutheran Church, 4210 S. Chambers Road, Aurora. “Journey of the Soul: The Spirit In Art,” an exhibit of her artwork, will be displayed at Holy Love Sunday through Oct. 23.

Bible study and contemporary worship|Disciple Bible Study, an adult Bible Study and fellowship group, meets from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at Wellshire Presbyterian Church, 2999 S. Colorado Blvd. “The Other Side,” a contemporary service for young adults with the GPS band, is at 6:45 p.m. “20-Somethings,” a Bible study group for young adults, will explore “God in Fiction” at 7:30 p.m.

Interfaith dinner|More than 200 people – including members of different religions, community leaders and representatives from various organizations – will meet for the “Multicultural Mosaic Foundation Interfaith Iftar” dinner at 7 p.m. at the Renaissance Denver Hotel, 3501 Quebec St. Guest speakers include the Rev. Foy Richey, president of Rocky Mountain Pastoral Care and Training Associates; the Rev. Bonita Bock, co-director of Wartburg College’s Wartburg West program; Gale Kahn, area director of the American Jewish Committee; Faruk Sahin, president of the Multicultural Mosaic Foundation; the Rev. Gospel concert|Hazel Miller and a gospel choir will give a free concert at 7 p.m. at First Plymouth Congregational Church, 3501 S. Colorado Blvd., Englewood.

Middle East peace conference|Friends of Sabeel-North America will host a Middle East Peace Conference beginning at noon and continuing through Oct. 22 at Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1980 Dahlia St., in Denver.
