Novelist Kent Haruf

Readings at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lory Student Center East Ballroom
at Colorado State University in Fort Collins and at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the
Eaton High School Auditorium.

Thank Writers on the Plains for providing access
to master storyteller Kent Haruf outside
the covers of a book. The eastern Colorado native
and author of “Eventide” and “Plainsong” is
beloved for his ability to evoke small-town culture
and rhythms. He’ll read to us all, for free, in
Fort Collins and Eaton. He’ll talk about how the
work comes together Saturday at 11 a.m. at the
Eaton Public Library, 132 Maple Ave.
