Motorcycle wreck kills Northglenn pair

Two people from Northglenn were killed on Saturday afternoon when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a Jeep.

The accident happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Colorado 119 in Boulder Canyon at mile marker 27, said Sgt. Jeff Goodwin, a spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol.

The names of those involved were not released Saturday, pending notification of relatives, Goodwin said.

A male driver and female passenger were aboard a Harley Davidson when it crossed over the center line and hit a northbound Jeep Rubicon head on, he said. Neither person was wearing a helmet, he said, and both were dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep, a 32-year-old male from Wellington, received minor injuries in the crash.

The accident closed the road in both directions until nearly 8 p.m.
