Jeremy Bloom’s father said Sunday the athlete will delay his decision of hiring an NFL agent until after he returns from a week-plus ski training trip to Switzerland. Bloom departed Sunday.

Larry Bloom said the former Colorado receiver had hoped to make his decision prior to going abroad. Larry Bloom said a decision should come shortly after he returns.

Bloom said last week that he was talking to agents Leigh Steinberg, Jack Mills and Gary Wichard. Because of his speed, Bloom could be a draftable player next April.

Buffaloes seize the lead

Sophomore Lindsey Ralph scored her first career goal, leading the Colorado women’s soccer team to a 1-0 win over Kansas in Boulder. The win put the Buffaloes (9-5-2) in sole possession of first place in the Big 12 Conference at 5-2, as Nebraska fell in overtime to Texas and Texas A&M tied Oklahoma State in double overtime.

The Air Force men’s soccer team beat Denver 3-0 at Pioneer Field. Senior Scott Muir scored two goals and freshman Reid Gaiser scored the first goal of his career.

Adams State women’s soccer defeated No. 8 Regis 1-0, the program’s first victory over a nationally ranked team.

Spiking their way to another victory

The Colorado women’s volleyball team won its second consecutive game against a top-25 team with a 3-2 win over No. 24 Texas A&M in College Station, Texas.
