Community College of Denver on Monday announced that eight Denver-based companies will receive a total of $256,400 in Colorado First and Existing Industry training grant funds this fall with assistance from Performance Solutions.

Outdoor Industry Foundation, based in Boulder, on Monday announced the launch of an initiative to quantify the economic impact of outdoor recreation in the United States. The baseline results, expected to be announced in spring 2006, will include estimates on expenditures, jobs, earnings, economic output and taxes for outdoor recreation activities or groups of activities on a per-state basis.
