Where: Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park, Alberta
Best meal: Banff has so many great restaurants, I wouldn’t know where to start. The SaltLik steakhouse was my favorite. Jasper’s not so great.
Best deal: The huge sushi boats, $30 (Canadian) at the Sukiyaki House in Banff.
Best time to go: We’ve been there twice, both times in mid-July. Temperatures were perfect, although there was occasional rain.
Don’t leave home without: Hiking stuff, including rain gear.
