Women’s film fest

Dedicated to celebrating the drive, spirit and diversity of women, The Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival is a three-day celebration of women and film Nov. 4-6 at the Fine Arts Center, 30 W. Dale St., Colorado Springs. Filmmakers in attendance include Danielle Lurie, Anne Wheeler, Jenny Stein, Angela Shelton, Lisa Sleeth, Melisa Painter and Jean Strauss. Oktoberfest tastings

Enjoy a taste of the brew or sip a bit of the robust while nibbling on an hors d’oeuvre or two at the Oktoberfest Wine and Beer Tasting at the Estes Park Conference Center, 101 S. St. Vrain Ave., 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beers, including those from the Estes Park Brewery, and wines from around the world, including Estes Park’s Snowy Peaks Winery, will be available. The evening also includes silent and live auctions and entertainment by the Dick Zavodny Polka Band. Tickets are $25 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Rotary Youth Program. Also at the Estes Park Conference Center, on Oct. 30 enjoy a little Rocky Mountain romance at the bridal show sponsored by the Estes Park Wedding Association. Booths open at 11 a.m., a fashion show starts at 2 p.m., and the grand prize drawing is at 3 p.m. There is a special lounge equipped with a television, snacks and pretzels for grooms. Cheyenne Ghost Tour

Take the family north to Cheyenne’s Haunted Trolley Ghost Tours on Friday-Oct. 30. Tours begin at the Historic Depot, 121 W. 15th St., at 6 and 8 p.m. Riders will be driven through the haunted highways of the paranormal and hear stories of the historic sites, haunted buildings and unexplained happenings along the way. The tour recounts tales of sinister events and will transport participants to eerie locations with shadowy figures and lurid ghost tales. There will be one stop with a scary performance by the Cheyenne gunslingers. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under and should be purchased in advance. Car and plane show

Journey to the Municipal Airport in Wickenburg, Ariz., on Saturday for the annual Fly-In and Classic Car Show from 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. View airplanes, enjoy a static air show, an aerobatic exhibit, a model airplane exhibit and a pancake breakfast.
