THE MOUNTAIN STATES EMPLOYERS COUNCIL: Announced a management reorganization and several promotions. Barbara A. Thompson was named executive vice president, responsible for overall MSEC employee relations in addition to the legal departments; Deborah Dale Brackney, vice president overseeing human resources, consulting, training and survey departments; Bill Smith, vice president with responsibility for membership development, marketing and business expansion in Colorado Springs; and Kim Koy, director of the southern region. Also appointed directors in the Denver office were Tim Settle, director, employment law services; David Zwisler, director of labor relations; Mark Flynn, director of specialized legal services; and Mark Buttice, director of information technology.
SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISTS: Elected Denver Post business reporter Christine Tatum on Tuesday as president of the nation’s largest journalism trade organization. She will be the sixth woman to serve as president of the 10,000-member society. Her term begins in August 2006.
COLORADO TOURISM OFFICE BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Gov. Bill Owens appointed Corry D. Mihm of Breckenridge and Kevin B. Schneider of Carbondale to the board of directors.

PRB GAS TRANSPORTATION INC.: Announced that Reuben Sandler, chairman and chief executive of Intelligent Optical Systems Inc., and James P. Schadt, retired chairman and chief executive of the Reader’s Digest Association, have joined the board of directors.
