An index of Colorado stocks fell for a fifth week in six, led by Denver-based oil and natural-gas producers Forest Oil Corp., Western Gas Resources Inc. and Bill Barrett Corp.
The Bloomberg Colorado Index, a price-weighted list of companies based in the state, lost 3.60, or 1.2 percent, to 294.35.
Declining stocks outnumbered those that advanced, 59 to 44, with two stocks unchanged.
