A look back at the madcap adventures of Chrissie, Janet and Jack includes a somber report on the death of John Ritter, a look inside Suzanne Somer’s Thighmaster empire and an update on Joyce DeWitt, last seen prowling the dinner theater circuit in outer Uzbekistan. TV Land

Melinda makes contact with the spirits of three boys and a dog. The boys want to make peace with their grieving families. The dog just wants to know if he’s going to get his testicles back. CBS

Overworked husband and wife restaurant owners need help with their three children. Apparently, the kids caught on that none of their friends were playing Bus the Tables! on weekends. ABC

7 p.m. “Survivorman”

On this show, survivalist Les Stroud carries his own cameras into the wilderness attempting to live off the land for seven days in extreme conditions, utterly alone. This week, he is in the Arizona desert where he must endure savage heat, venomous snakes, scorpions and the chance that a developer is going to turn his campsite into a strip mall at any moment. 7:30 p.m. “Twins”

Mitchee and Farrah are forced to attend traffic school. Survivors of recent traffic school experiences may fail to see the humor. WB

8 p.m. “Mysteries of the Smithsonian”

Exploring the vast collections of the Institution including such mysterious artifacts as the Ark of the Covenant, JFK’s frozen head, the Roswell alien bodies and the Iraq exit strategy. Travel Channel
