Jackson’s spokeswoman refused to comment, the New York Post reported.
Janet’s brother Michael, meanwhile, has been summoned for jury duty in the same county where he was acquitted of child molestation charges four months ago.
Jackson’s lawyers have filed paperwork for a deferment because the pop star now lives in Bahrain. Santa Barbara County jury commissioner Gary Blair said Jackson likely will be excused from jury duty.
