Two shopping programs will let customers get a jump on holiday buying and help local charities this week.

The Cherry Creek Shopping Card gives shoppers 20 percent discounts at more than 150 stores in the Cherry Creek Shopping Center and the Cherry Creek North business district Friday through Nov. 6. The card costs $50, and proceeds from its sale will be donated to 60 local nonprofit organizations that are part of the Post-News Season to Share Program. The McCormick Tribune Foundation is matching proceeds from the card sales.

Among the participating stores are such national chains as Polo/Ralph Lauren, Diesel and Anthropologie in the mall, and such independent retailers as Brandis B, Limeade and Oster Jewelers in Cherry Creek North.

A complete list of merchants is online at cherrycreekshoppingcard.com. Cards are available online, at selected stores and at the guest-services desk in the mall.

Saks Fifth Avenue, 2900 E. First Ave., hosts Key to the Cure Friday and Saturday. Five percent of sales will be donated to a women’s cancer initiative developed by the Entertainment Industry Foundation and the Women’s Cancer Research Fund. In addition, the store will be selling a $35 limited-edition T-shirt, with $33 going to the cause.

As part of the program, Mercedes-Benz USA has pledged $1 million to be donated from portions of sales of its Signature Edition R-Class Grand Sports Tourer, one of which will be displayed in the store. For details, call 303-393-6333.
