Dierks Bentley this month became the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Next month he is scheduled to perform at the 39th annual Country Music Association Awards in New York City. Then on Dec. 3, the newly minted country star is booked to play 98.5- KYGO’s Christmas Crusade Concert at the Fillmore Auditorium. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($22.50-$25, Ticketmaster).
Rise Against recently posted a message to fans on its website. It says, in part, “By the way, before we go into hiding this winter, we are planning on visiting a handful of cities for some special shows in Edmonton, Denver, Tampa, Detroit and Orlando, so keep your eyes peeled for details.” Peel no longer. Bon Jovi has added concerts in six cities because the first dates of the band’s “Have a Nice Day” world tour sold out the weekend they went on sale. Fans snapped up more than 500,000 tickets. Now the tour will also stop in Denver. Bon Jovi plays the Pepsi Center on Feb. 23. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. ($51-$86.50, Ticketmaster or aeglive.com).
Donovan has a lot on his plate right now. His book, “The Autobiography of Donovan: The Hurdy Gurdy Man,” hits bookstores on Nov. 29. The publication date is pegged to his 40th anniversary tour and the release of a box set. Colorado gets to share in the fun when the pop/folk singer visits the Boulder Theater on Nov. 30.
