My favorite subjects are: Mathematics and science, just because I’ve always been good at them.

My favorite athlete is: Roger Federer. He makes it look so easy.

My favorite teams are: The Avalanche, Broncos and Nuggets, because they’re the hometown teams, and the Spurs.

What I listen to: Rock, like Green Day.

The best thing on my training table: Pasta.

Prematch ritual: I just focus before I warm up.

Time management tip: I don’t watch much television. I stay up late studying and haven’t been able to get too much sleep at Creek so far.

I would love to visit: I’d go skiing or to Hawaii.

What I like most about high school sports: At Cherry Creek, everyone is so nice. I like being on the team (in an individual sport). We have good coaches, parents who are involved, and a team environment.

What I like least about high school sports: The only wish is (the season) could have been a little longer.

The Denver Post recognizes a female and male student-athlete of the week. At the end of the school year, 10 finalists will be chosen. Ultimately, The Post and The Denver Athletic Club will select one boy and one girl as student-athletes of the year, and a substantial donation will be made to a local charity in their names.
