Tim Chase captured the aftermath of an attempted robbery Oct. 20 at a US
Bank branch at 6333 East Colfax. The bank robber, who claimed to have
strapped explosives on his body, walked into the bank and demanded
$36,000 in cash or he would blow himself up. He failed to get any
money and fled from the bank before police arrived. Bank robberies in
Colorado are at the highest level in 10 years.
