This weekend is the Colorado Snowsports Expo, the snow-free convention with loads of heavily discounted gear, last-chance ski passes and demonstrations from several Olympic athletes. Stock up on your snow tools and passes. Copper Mountain opened Friday with a festival. Pay $19 for the festival’s Lift Off boarding pass (that’s on top of a lift ticket) and your team of four can compete to see how many days they can ride between Nov. 4 and Nov. 12. Each day a team member skis, the team earns a shot at a free heli-trip with Canadian Mountain Holidays in British Columbia. Expo, at the Colorado Convention Center, Fri.-Sun.
