In the last tournament of the season, University of Colorado senior Edward McGlasson posted his first win, shooting a 4-over-par 220 to win by a stroke over Tulane’s Michael Thompson at the Tunica National Intercollegiate in Tunica, Miss. McGlasson dedicated the win to CU coach Mark Simpson, who is undergoing treatments in a second battle against what was originally lung cancer within the past year. The Buffs had a team total 924, tying for sixth with Mississippi State.

Tim Knight of Northern Colorado and John Streibich of Xavier each shot final-round 68s to finish tied for first at 7-under 209 at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M. Streibich won a playoff. Xavier shot an 11-under 853 to win the team title. Wyoming was fifth at 876. UNC was two strokes back of the Cowboys in a tie for sixth. Air Force finished 12th at 904.

Colorado State’s Chelsea Benton is in first place after shooting a second-round, 5-under 67 at the Las Vegas Founders Collegiate Showdown. Benton’s score was the best single round in CSU women’s golf history.

DU lands two on all-Sun Belt soccer team

University of Denver junior forward Lleane Grimditch and junior midfielder Laura Mann were named to the all-Sun Belt Conference first team announced Tuesday.
