Chains are required on all commercial vehicles on Rabbit Ears Pass near Steamboat Springs. Icy and snowpacked conditions are reported there on U.S. Highway 40.

Breckenridge opened a run Friday morning, giving away free flapjacks to those who got to the slopes early. Keystone resort opened Friday as well with skiers and snowboarders taking to the slopes in ball gowns and tuxedos to celebrate the day. Copper Mountain, A-Basin and Loveland are also open.
9News meteorologist Kathy Sabine says the storm will move quickly across the state towards the northeast. Denver received rain overnight, and by this afternoon it was expected to be cool, dry and windy with a high of 59 degrees. Sabine says Denver could get some snow on Tuesday.
