
We’re surprised it took this long, but Snoop Dogg has launched his own brand of hot dog.
The Foot Long Snoop Doggs should hit supermarkets in January, according to contactmusic.com. Snoop’s business partners Franco Petrucci and Jeff Earp, owners of a Massachusetts fast-food business, came up with the idea.
Nelly is seeking some smart students to help promote his Pimp Juice and PJ Tight energy drinks. Students can enter his second annual P.I.M.P. (Positive. Intellectual. Motivated. Person.) scholarship contest.
According to MTV.com, “the most unique Pimp Juice or PJ Tight video commercial that best captures the essence” of Nelly’s energy drinks will earn an entrant a $5,000 scholarship. Grade-point averages and school activity also will determine the winner.
Kate Capshaw and her friends love the food so much at Ginger, a new restaurant in Harlem, she ordered one of everything and took it on her private plane for a trip to Los Angeles recently. The New York Post reported the food fest included Capshaw’s hubby Steven Spielberg and friends Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson.
Eva Longoria and Charlie Sheen have landed on the animated “Foodfight!” USA Today reports the actors will lend their voices with Hilary and Haylie Duff, Wayne Brady, Chris Kattan and Christopher Lloyd for the film to be released next fall and set in a supermarket that is a city unto itself.
Kim Cattrall’s personal life is cooking since she met a 26-year-old chef she met in Toronto last year.
“Seeing someone much younger than me was totally unexpected,” Cattrall, 49, told USA Today. “We share common interests in food. I love to eat – love to eat well – and we love to cook together. It sort of seems to be the zeitgeist right now of older women and younger men.”

“Partridge” urges turkeyless big day
Shirley Jones will forever be a Partridge, but she doesn’t want to be – or eat – a turkey.
Best known as mom on “The Partridge Family,” Jones says in a new video for the animal activist group PETA, “Turkeys – every bit as worthy of our concern as dogs and cats – are treated especially badly.” Jones recommends eating a Tofurky or Unturkey vegetarian roast for Thanksgiving instead.
