An eight-month investigation into a methamphetamine ring in Loveland has led to the arrest of two people believed to be among the operation’s ringleaders.
Authorities say that Joshua Tobey Perea, 24, and Kristine Summers, 22, ran an organization involving up to 20 meth dealers, selling to as many as 300 drug users in Larimer County.
Another alleged ringleader, Jason Lee Smith, 31, is still at large.
Three Loveland homes were searched yesterday, yielding more than 10 ounces of meth. Nearly three pounds of meth had already been confiscated in the course of the investigation. Investigators say nearly 20 previous arrests have been linked to the operation.
Anyone with information as to Jason Smith’s whereabouts is asked to call the Larimer County Drug Task Force at (970) 416-2560.
