GIRL SCOUTS OF THE USA: Elected Denver marketer Kip Hughes to serve on its national board of directors as a member at large. Hughes has been an active volunteer with the Denver-based Girl Scouts-Mile Hi Council since serving on its board of directors from 1991-2002.

BIG O TIRES INC.: Hired Jim Bull as the company’s vice president of sales and operations for the Centennial-based West Division. Bull replaces Steve Steffens, who recently became the company’s vice president of marketing.

MOLSON COORS BREWING CO.: Elected Gary S. Matthews, chief executive of Sleep Innovations and one-time president of Guinness Import Co., to the board of directors.

THE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF DENVER: Announced the appointment of Keith Montoya, owner and president of Doc 1 Solutions, as a member of its board of directors.

EQUITY OFFICE: Promoted Jill Muckler to managing director of property management for the Denver region, which consists of 4.6 million square feet of office space in 15 buildings.

BARKER RINKER SEACAT ARCHITECTURE: Announced several new hires at the firm. Holly Hall was named a project manager; Nathan Facteau and Heidi Spaly, architectural interns; Zach Bisek, provider of construction administration services; Cara Brostrom, project administrator; and Patrick McMichael and Robert Childers, student interns.

BALFOUR RETIREMENT COMMUNITY, BROOMFIELD: Recently named Mary Cook as a leasing consultant.

PIMA MEDICAL INSTITUTE: Hired Mary Kelly as the clinical director of its physical-therapist assistant program.

KIDS VOTING USA: Named Terry Pickeral, director of the National Center for Learning and Citizenship at the Education Commission of the States, as chairman of the national board of directors.

DENVER SCHOOL OF NURSING: Appointed Nancy Smith chief academic officer. Smith also will serve as a professor and dean.
