Frank Schultz isn’t just turning down that music. He’s turning it off.

The co-owner of LoDo’s 9-year- old Soiled Dove is moving the music out of the Dove in mid-January and heading east to a state-of-the-art 6,000-square-foot new room in Lowry.

The Soiled Dove will become Tavern Downtown with a bar, games, restaurant and rooftop patio, echoing his popular East 17th Avenue joint, Uptown Tavern. The new Lowry club-restaurant will be called the Tavern Lowry with the Soiled Dove Underground providing the new music hall down under.

This is one smart move. The three venues should open this spring.

Shooting Blanc’s

Blanc the Salon in the Golden Triangle is starring in a reality series, “The Stylist.” And salon owner Ty Tomlinson is producing the show himself. Then he plans to sell it to a network or a local cable outlet.

“Actually, there is a lot of interest in this,” he says. “We’re showing it in January to Bravo and A&E and UPN and Altitude.”

A film crew is in the salon about three days a week, taping the comings and goings of clients and stylists, and their relationships. Shooting should finish in mid-December. From what I hear, the demimonde of the stylist world is wild. “There’s this huge fashion community in Denver,” says Tomlinson. “We have this stigma that we’re a cow town and not up-to-date. What better way to get Denver on the map than to show the country how fabulous it really is.”
