The history of coffee from its roots as the beverage of the privileged to its current status as lifeblood of capitalism with economists debating how early in the day the riots would start if all the Starbucks closed. History Channel

7 p.m. “I Walk the Line”

Singers offer their own renditions of Johnny Cash in tribute of the legend. But we had a hard time buying that Justin Timberlake ever shot a man in Reno “just to see him die.” CBS

7 p.m. “Banned: World’s Sexiest Videos”

It seems that in other countries, they have music videos that make Britney Spears and Christina Aguilerra look like prim schoolmarms. Between this and the sexy commercials, it has become clear that America is falling behind the rest of the world. This so-called “porn gap” is sure to be an issue in next year’s congressional elections. VH1

7:30 p.m. “Stacked”

Jenny McCarthy guest stars. This is one of those times when a flat panel TV isn’t going to cut it. Fox

7:30 p.m. “Homewrecker”

In MTV’s home remodeling show, roommates turn on each other, staging cruelly themed makeovers. If you come home and your half of the apartment looks like killer’s basement in “Silence of the Lambs,” start looking for the hidden camera. MTV
